Protected cartridge

The lower edge of the lever completely covers the cartridge cap. This protects the inside from contamination. In addition, the closed shape protects the cartridge from damage caused by cleaning agents for example.

Hygienic design

By deliberately dispensing with a tie-rod hole and using a closed fitting body, hygiene is significantly increased. This makes the body of the fitting extremely easy to clean.

Mini thermostat

HEWI Mini thermostat

The HEWI Mini thermostat regulates and limits the maximum outlet temperature of the water. For example, the water flow stops automatically if the cold water supply fails, which means the user cannot scald themselves. This naturally makes HEWI system fittings even safer to use.

Easy assembly

Pre-assembled components and clear markings on the connection hoses make installation a breeze. The 450 mm long connection hoses from Neoperls are made of stainless steel mesh and have coloured, interwoven threads for simple hot/cold identification.

As well as chrome-plated and satin stainless steel fittings, they are now also available in satin black. In addition to an elegant new look, this tasteful matt finish also offers corrosion protection and helps guarantee the life of the product.

One design language - two methods of operation

Manual and sensor-controlled fittings

Depending on the specific requirement, some fittings are available as either a manually operated single-lever washbasin mixer or as a sensor-controlled fitting. Functionality and methods of operation differ in these two variants - whilst their design language has a single voice.

Intuitive operability

Many years of experience have made HEWI an expert in accessibility. Since then, universal design has been a constant part of our lives at HEWI. Our system fittings have been developed with accessibility in mind. Together with our washbasins they have been designed to form a complete, functional accessible unit.

High-contrast design

Large radii prevent sharp edges that could be bumped against. The operation of HEWI system fittings is intuitive: be it through clear, easily understood hot/cold markings or high contrast control levers, or through contactless sensors which require no effort to operate.

The coloured handle element can be specified with a high contrast grip - there are 16 HEWI colours to choose from. It is made of a polyamide material and is pleasant to grip.

The single-lever washbasin mixers are equipped with an open operating lever. This allows them to be operated with just one finger making them easier to use for people with motor impairment.

Comfort and safety in the shower

Shower thermostats

Shower thermostats offer special comfort. Not only can the amount of water be precisely adjusted via a control on the side. The desired temperature is selected via a separate control. A hot water lock with safety button limits the water temperature to 38 °C. Warmer water can only be set when the hot water lock is released using the safety button. The Flühs thermostatic cartridge immediately compensates for changes in temperature and water pressure so that the temperature remains constant, thus increasing the user's safety.

HEWI shower thermostats are made of solid brass. This ensures particularly long-lasting quality and reliability. The brass body and the Neoperl backflow valves can withstand high internal pressures making HEWI shower thermostats particularly suitable for thermal disinfection. Backflow valves allow water to flow in only one direction - which effectively protects water pipes from contamination and prevents germ formation.

Safe-Touch shower thermostat

Additional protection to guard against the fitting body getting too hot is provided by the HEWI SAFE TOUCH shower thermostat. This technology allows the body of the fitting to be cooled on the inside, keeping the surface of the shower thermostat at a pleasant temperature so that touching it cannot lead to burns. Fluctuations in temperature and water pressure are immediately compensated for by the Flühs thermostatic cartridge, allowing the water temperature to be kept constant. The shower thermostat also has a hot water lock to prevent accidental scalding.

The thermostat cartridge inside the thermostat body compensates for temperature and water pressure fluctuations. If the cold water supply fails, the water flow is stopped so that the user cannot scald himself. Integrated silencers minimise noise, making HEWI shower thermostats also extremely quiet in use. Due to their intrinsic safety and hygiene technology, HEWI shower thermostats are particularly suitable for demanding use in hospitals.

Easy operation for children

You will recognise HEWI mixers for children because they are particularly easy to operate. Various forms of operation train children's motor skills. With just one control element, the HEWI single-lever washbasin mixer can precisely and comfortably  adjust both water quantity and temperature at the same time. Because the operating lever is so easy to move, even small users find them easy to use.
